The concept and implementation of Halesowen Ukulele Group Strummers belongs to Alan Love & Ian Goddard (of Black Country Ukulele Players BCUPS ). They held the first event on Sunday 15th April 2012.

HUGS is a free event

BBC Children in Need

We will be playing in Halesowen, Somers Square Friday 14th November at a time to be arranged  but probably from 1.30pm until we get too cold or run out of tunes, anyone can come along and join in at any time.

Lets see if we can raise more than last year.

HUGS Learners

Roy (of The BCUPS) teaches our learners. He will teach you the chord to get you strumming in the main room with everyone else (free of charge).

This is what one of our new visitors had to say:

"Took my first lesson with your instructor tonight , must say what a patient and talented man he is. Got to learn those four chords now before next week, might be able to play "the wheels on the bus" by then"

Welcome! Thanks for coming to the HUGS website. We are a ukulele group based in Halesowen West Midlands. We meet every 2 weeks at Halesowen Athletic and Cycling Club.

We are a group of like minded ukulele enthusiasts. We are of varied abilities but just enjoy a good get together to strum and sing.

We will update you when new songs are added via our facebook page.
